Clete Welch Elementary

- This will be the district’s 19th elementary school campus serving grades PreK-5.
- The location is slated for the northern part of the district that is experiencing high growth currently and projected into the future.
- The design will be similar to that of Hatley Elementary School, which opened in August 2023.
- This project is currently out to bid. The District is scheduled to request contract approval at the March board meeting.

- The district's prototype design maximizes the flexibility of the learning environment to react to different site constraints effectively.
Project Goals
- Students can access playgrounds without crossing drives.
- A geothermal mechanical system is designed for this campus.
- Drives are designed to separate student, parent drop-off, visitor and bus circulation.
- Two additional special education classrooms are added to the program.
- The District is working with VLK to finalize the construction documents.
- Design changes and site overview will be presented next month.
- The project is scheduled to go out to bid in February and will be presented to the Board in March.

- Current projected opening is fall 2027.
